doing the socialising

I told you I was coming out of hibernation and I meant it. I left my double bed in my mums house, put on real clothes and went back to London to visit the pals featured above. I hope you're all proud.

You cannot see from these photographs as they were all taken inside (errr good Maya) but London has been really beautiful recently. The sun has been shining and I even got my lily white legs out, an unpleasant sight for all participants. Sorry Londoners. Seriously I am so pale. My mum told me she was 'concerned'. Yeah.

Last weekend I met the very beautiful Murima at Kings Cross St Pancras and we ventured to Hammersmith. Why Hammersmith Maya? Because ladies and gentlemen, us two English Literature students with minimal acting experience or talent took it upon ourselves to audition as film extras.
Regardless of having no experience and this being a completely random decision on our part it was actually good fun. 10/10 recommend. Go and audition to be an extra.

We took a wander down the river, which was pleasant but awfully busy with the boat race and all and looking at all of those rowers sort of makes me wish I'd never given up and I still had rock solid thighs and a defined tummy, you know? So we swiftly departed for the museums. Maybe one day I'll stop running away from rowing and get back in a boat. For now I will just look at art and eat cake with Murima, though.

In the evening we met the rest of the nutters featured in the central image and went bowling. This was the first time I have bowled since I was around 12 and I can categorically tell you I am still shit. I came an impressive last in both games but wore cute cat socks from the Primark downstairs throughout (they had ears!!!!) so I feel like I'm the real winner.
